Residents are being warned about a “dangerous dog “ on the loose that chased and tried to bite several people at a University City park.
As police responded to the call, the brown pit bull attacked an officer in the 5500 block of Governor Drive around 5:30 p.m. Friday evening.
Police fired two shots at the dog and hit it in the nose. The dog was able to get away.
Animal Control resumed a search for the dog Saturday.
