Officers Responding to Reported Home Invasion Robbery in Oceanside

A Oceanside man was threatened at gunpoint when he came home to find a burglar inside his house Monday morning, according to the Oceanside Police Department.

The incident was reported at 10:11 a.m. on the 4900 block of Overlook Drive, police said. 

The suspect was ransacking the home when the man walked inside. Police say the suspect threatened the homeowner at gunpoint before taking off.

The homeowner was not injured and it's unknown what was stolen.

Police say the burglar was described to be about 6-feet tall, wearing dark pants, a red shirt and a bandana.

No other information was immediately available.
