Former Ramona Resident Found Dead in Riverside

Transient was believed to be a victim of foul play.

Police have ruled the death of a former Ramona woman who was found dead in Riverside a homicide.

Jamie Lea Harmer was found along railroad tracks near Panorama Road on Sunday.

Police say the 32-year-old transient woman's last permanent address was in Thief River Falls, Minn., and are trying to determine who she came into contact with between late February and the time she was found.

Harmer was known to be in the Ramona area for an unknown period of time and was arrested twice while in San Diego County: For battery on a police officer on Jan. 4 and for being under the influence of drugs on Feb. 13.

She was believed to be in Ramona on Feb. 26 and planning to travel to Arizona to visit family.
