A high-speed chase ends in a dramatic crash, leaving behind a huge mess in National City Thursday.
National City Police Departmetn (NCPD) were pursuing a vehicle after getting a call of a wanted suspect for felony.
The pursuit ended at 1 p.m. when the driver of that car slammed into a green sedan while making a left turn and catapulted into the air. The car the hit the street light and knocked over a fire hydrant near Highland Avenue and Division Street.

The suspect behind the wheel crashed fled on foot.
Officers took the driver into custody after a brief foot chase.
Two people inside the green sedan were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
