The Marines have released the name of a San Diego Marine who was killed in Afghanistan.
Lance Cpl. Jason D. Hill, 20, of Poway, Calif., died June 11 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan, officials said.
Hill was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force based at Camp Pendleton.
