Poway Council Candidate Finds Campaign Sign Loophole

Gary Vineyard admits it: "I found a loophole."

The Poway City Council candidate is in a flap with the city itself because of his campaign signs.

According to local ordinances, signs can be 4 feet by 6 feet. But Vineyard put three signs together to spell out his name.

The city says that violates the ordinance and keeps taking them down. Vineyard keeps putting them back up.

Vineyard says he "hates" campaign signs, and if he's elected, he'll close the loophole he's taking advantage of and put tougher restrictions on the signs.

There are two open seats on the Poway City Council to replace Jim Cunningham and Merrilee Boyack.
