Police Search for At-Risk Individual

Norma Luikart, 72, has been missing since Sunday morning

Chula Vista police are looking for a woman with dementia who walked away from her residence.

72-year-old Norma Lea Luikart was last seen around 7:45 a.m. Sunday at an adult care facility in the 400-block of East Oxford Street in Chula Vista.

According to officials, Luikart has only lived at the facility for a month and doesn’t know her address. Besides dementia, she also has a history of seizures.

Luikart is described as 5-foot-2 and 180 pounds with blue eyes and gray, wavy hair. She was wearing a brown jacket with flowers, a brown long-sleeve shirt and green pants with pink stripes when she went missing.

San Diego County Sheriff's deputies have joined the search for Luikart. A command post has been set up at Greg Rogers Park at 1300 Oleander Avenue.

If you spot this woman, you’re asked to call the Chula Vista Police Department at 619-691-5151.

Meanwhile, police were also looking for 80-year-old James Author Marsh. Marsh, who has Alzheimer's Disease, was also reported to have walked away from home Sunday. He was found safe Monday afternoon, according to officials.

Police said the two missing persons cases were unrelated.
