Police Investigate Unsolved Burglaries in North County

San Diego police are trying to solve a string of home burglaries in the North County.

Since February, there have been 11 burglaries in the Torrey Hills and Carmel Country Highlands neighborhoods near State Route 56, according to police. Five happened last month.

According to police, the burglaries happened mid-week and in broad daylight. The burglars used rocks or bricks to break into homes. They mainly stole money, jewelry and small electronics.

The most recent burglary occurred May 30th. Witnesses saw two men jump over a backyard wall to access the house. They escaped in a silver Toyota SUV, according to police.
