Police ID Suspect in Deadly Shooting Near Occupy Oakland

An Oakland resident was arrested by police in Lexington, Ky.

A man suspected of fatally shooting a man near the former Occupy Oakland encampment at Frank Ogawa Plaza was arrested in Kentucky on Sunday, police said.

Oakland resident Norris Terrell was arrested by police in Lexington, Ky. on suspicion of fatally shooting 25 year-old Kayode Foster on Nov. 10.

According to police, Terrell was charged Thursday with one count of murder and shooting into an inhabited dwelling.

Three other suspects have also been arrested in connection with shooting, police said.

Foster had been staying at Frank Ogawa Plaza in the protest camp before the shooting, according to his family.

Witnesses also said Terrell was a frequent resident at the camp in the days before the shooting.
