Motorcycle Leads Police Pursuit Through South Bay

A motorcycle rider led the California Highway Patrol on a high-speed pursuit that began near downtown where State Route 163 and Interstate 5 meet and traveled through the South Bay.

An officer attempted to pull over a motorcyclist who was traveling at a high rate of speed at approximately 11:40 a.m., according to CHP spokesperson Jim Bettencourt.

When the motorcycle rider failed to stop, the pursuit began.
