A woman sustained serious injuries after getting hit by a car at a City Heights crosswalk early Saturday morning.
According to police, the collision happened just before 3 a.m. on Swift Avenue at University Avenue.
A woman was crossing eastbound at a crosswalk when a driver traveling westbound in a BMW made a left run and struck her.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and the woman was transported to Mercy Hospital with serious but non-life threatening head injuries, police said. Her current condition is unknown.
The investigation is ongoing but police said the driver is not suspected to be at fault. Drugs or alcohol did not play a factor in the accident.
