Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run

Police said a green Honda Accord fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian

A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after a hit-and-run in the Nestor area Thursday night.

According to police, a teal-colored Honda struck a 52-year-old man who was walking in an unmarked crosswalk at Palm Avenue and Saturn Boulevard around 8:15 p.m. 

The driver fled the scene.

The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Palm Ave., according to investigators.

Police said the victim was transported to the UCSD Medical Center with serious injuries, including a broken Tibia and Fibula.

No further information has been released on the victim’s current condition or the hit-and-run suspect.
