Passenger Threatens Bus Driver With Screwdriver: Police

The driver triggered the "code blue" alarm

A female passenger on a San Diego bus held a screwdriver to the driver's neck on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The driver triggered the "code blue" alarm, prompting MTS to contact San Diego police. The #1904 bus was headed eastbound on University Avenue in the College Area.

Officers boarded the bus on the intersection of University Avenue and Lowell Street, then apprehended the woman.

It is unknown how many passengers were on the bus or if the driver is injured.
