The Pala fire burning in Temecula is 90 percent contained, according to CAL FIRE. Full control of the flames is expected by Thursday evening.
More than 575 firefighters are on the scene with 40 engines, 22 fire crews, 3 bulldozers and 9 water tenders. Today CAL FIRE hopes to continue improving containment lines and cut out interior islands.
The cause of the fire was due to a vehicle accident on Pala-Temecula Road and some parts of the area had to be evacuated.
