With one very lucky push of a button on a slot machine, a San Diego resident won $50,000 at Pala Casino Spa & Resort on Monday, the casino confirmed.
The player, identified by the casino Wednesday as Phuong H., was playing a "Quick Hit 5X10X" slot machine on the casino floor when she suddenly hit the jackpot.
After her big win, she proudly posed for a photo by the hot slot machine, which flashed $50,000 in red letters across the top. The machine showed all three “Quick Hit” icons perfectly aligned across the front and had been tagged with a sticker labeled “JACKPOT.”
Pala Casino Spa & Resort is located at 11154 Highway 76 in Pala, California, about 52 miles north of downtown San Diego. The casino features 2,000 slot machines, 82 table games and 15 poker tables. The hotel portion of the property features 507 hotel rooms. A new RV Resort with 100 full-service sites for RVs and trailers opened on May 23 about a half-mile away from the casino.
