The PGA Tour announced that it will host its first of 20 Executive Women’s Day programs at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course on Jan. 27.

The programs are hosted at 20 PGA Tour tournaments in 2016. The programs are part of the tour’s Women’s Initiative, an effort to bring influential women from the tournament circuit into a business forum focused on professional development, leadership, management, networking, corporate dialogue and corporate social responsibility, according to a release from the PGA Tour.

The tour expects up to 250 businesswomen to participate at each event, which will include presentations, panels, networking and a behind-the-scenes tour of the tournament. The San Diego event will feature panel discussions on corporate responsibility with the Connected Women of Influence founder and CEO, Michelle Bergquist, as moderator.

The keynote speaker will be Lisa Haile, partner and co-chair of the Global Life Sciences Practice at the global law firm, DLA Piper. Haile was named one of the National Law Journal’s 75 outstanding women lawyers in 2015.

The panelists include Beth Altman, managing partner for KPMG LLP San Diego; Janet Beronio, senior vice president and general manager for Harrah’s Resorts; Liz McCartney, co-founder and executive director of St. Bernard Project; and Ruchika Rastogi, director of strategy at West Health.
