1 Shot, 1 Beaten and Pushed Into Traffic in Oceanside: PD

A young man and a teenager were airlifted to the hospital Thursday night after the man was shot multiple times while the teen was beaten and pushed into oncoming traffic in Oceanside, police said.

At around 6 p.m, officers with the Oceanside Police Department were called to State Route 76 and Frazee Road to investigate reports of a man shot in the area. When officers arrived, they discovered a 17-year-old boy on the southeast corner of SR-76 and Frazee Road, suffering from facial injuries.

A witness told police the teenager had been assaulted by three suspects, beaten and pushed into oncoming traffic, pushed in front of the witness' car.

Moments later, officers found a second victim in the same area, about 500 yards away. That victim, a 21-yea-old man, had been shot several times.

Officers were not able to immediately find any suspect's tied to the young man's shooting or the beating of the teen. Investigators believe the attacks on both young men are related.
