One person was shot while hunting in the Pine Valley area Sunday morning.
San Diego Sheriff’s Department officials said at least two people were looking for game off Buckman Springs Road near the Los Pinos Lookout.
Just after 9 a.m., the victim was somehow shot below the knee on one leg.
A Mercy Air helicopter flew the patient to the hospital. That person's condition is unknown.
Both sheriff's deputies and crews from Cal Fire responded to the incident.
