One person died after ramming into a light pole in Serra Mesa Tuesday night, according to San Diego police.
The single-vehicle collision took place near Sandrock Road and Gramercy Drive at 6:30 p.m.
The driver, described by officials as a 75-year-old woman, had three passengers in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
Another 75-year-old female sitting in the back seat died from internal injuries at the hospital shortly after the crash, officials said.
The driver and two others suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, police said.
