One Dead, Another Wounded After Poway Shooting



    1 Dead, 1 Wounded in Poway Shooting

    Sheriff's deputies were called to a house on Frame Road in Poway early Sunday. NBC 7's Diana Guevara was first on the scene this morning and has this update. (Published Monday, March 16, 2015)

    Sheriff's deputies are investigating an overnight shooting that left one man dead and another wounded in Poway. 

    Lieutenant John Maryon said the victim of the shooting was Chris Alan Jewell. The other male shot injured during the incident was Seth Warner Ladabouche, who suffered non-life threatening injuries.

    The incident happened at approximately 1:35 a.m. Sunday on the 13400 block of Frame Road. 

    Neighbors in the area told NBC 7 they heard gunshots in the area, which they said is rare for the neighborhood.

    When officials arrived, they found a dead adult male in the backyard of the house with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body, deputies said. 

    Sheriff’s Deputies said another adult male at the residence was also shot in the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated and released to detectives for questioning. Both men were in their 40s. 

    The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office. 

    Maryon said deputies have not yet identified a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
