Officials ID Man Pulled from Water Near Coronado Bridge

Officials have identified a man who died after jumping from an anchored boat in San Diego Bay on Saturday.

Alexander Thomas Glenn, 23, of Oakland was with friends on the boat around 7 p.m.

Witnesses said Glenn had jumped from the boat but hadn't been seen for several minutes after going under the water.

Friends alerted Harbor police who responded to the scene said Lt. Nichlos of Harbor police said.

Vessels, divers, U.S Guard crews and a helicopter searched for Glenn and found him after 40 minutes of searching near the south end of the Coronado Bridge, Nichlos said.

CPR was performed however officials were unable to resuscitate him and he was pronounced dead at 7: 22 p.m.

U.S. Coast Guard personnel are investigating the incident.
