Officer Injured During Pursuit of Juveniles

An officer attempting to stop a vehicle full of juveniles was injured early Wednesday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The officer tried to pull over what the department said was a stolen car in the 3600 block of Ocean View at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver did not pull over and the officer began chasing the car.

Five juveniles were in the car at the time of the pursuit. The driver of the car crashed into two parked cars on Southlook, just south of Imperial Ave. The driver and one other passenger were captured by the officer.

Three other suspects fled on foot and are still outstanding.

The officer suffered a knee injury while attempting to take the juveniles into custody.
