An off-duty officer was attacked and injured in his own home and now police are searching for suspects.
Chula Vista police said one of their officers was rushed by two men after he answered a knock on his door around noon Tuesday.
The officer said he was expecting a visitor, but instead the men, one of them armed, shoved their way inside.
The officer was injured when he was pushed down a staircase. The suspects took off on foot. There's no word on a possible motive for the attack.
