First October Storm Lingers Friday

There is a potential for thunderstorm through noon Friday

The October storm that first moved ashore Thursday is expected to move up and out Friday morning.

On the back side of the storm, a few showers are popping up in San Diego.

“However, we are seeing heavier showers in those pockets,” said meteorologist Jodi Kodesh.

“You may see one cloud that’s going to get you with the rain.”

There is a potential for “pop-up showers” through about noon but the chance will clear out in the afternoon. Friday evening’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies.

Temperatures were in the 50s and 60s early Friday but San Diegans will soon see warmer temperatures over the weekend with possibly the 90s next week.
