Fugitive Gang Member Sought by Authorities

Jaime Margarito Reyes, 21, also goes by the nickname "Shady"

The San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force is working to locate and apprehend a fugitive gang member wanted on two felony arrest warrants and considered armed and dangerous.

On Thursday, officials announced they’re seeking Jaime Margarito Reyes, 21, a known gang member who uses the moniker “Shady,” and is known to frequent Fallbrook and other parts of San Diego’s North County.

According to authorities, Reyes has two felony arrest warrants. One is for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property, while the other is for felony vandalism.

Officials describe the fugitive as Hispanic, 5-foot-8 and approximately 180-pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo around his neck. He’s considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.

Anyone with information on Reyes and his whereabouts should contact the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters could be eligible for a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
