No One Likes Rainy Mondays

Monday has just started and it's already proven to be a busy day for two truck drivers and the California Highway Patrol.

As of 6 a.m., more than a dozen crashes were recorded on the CHP's incident page. Officers handle 50 to 70 crashes over 24 hours on a normal, "good weather" day.

On southbound Interstate 805 at Sorrento Valley Road, a truck jack-knifed just before 6 a.m. Monday. The driver reported to CHP he was trapped inside the cab. In less than 30 minutes, two trucks were on scene and starting to move the accident off the highway.

At the eastbound 905 transition off I-805, a truck flipped over several times and landed on southbound 805 around 7 a.m. The driver was transported to the hospital. No word on his injuries.
