New Citizens Celebrate with Obama

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services collaborated with the New Americans Museum inside Liberty Station to celebrate 101 children who received their certificates of citizenship the same morning President Barack Obama took the oath of office.

The children’s ages range from 11 months to 17 years.

Many different countries were represented including Afghanistan, Australia, Canada, Russia and China.

"I came here to be a citizen," said Jay Juego, father of two. "Through me being a citizen, I'm giving them the chance to live the American dream."

The kids ended the ceremony with the Pledge of Allegiance and just enjoyed the moment with their families.
