After a nearly two-hour standoff, a man suspected of stabbing another man is finally in police custody, according to Lt. David Rohowits, with the San Diego Police Department .
Police said they received a call of a naked man following another man around the Balboa Park area around 10:40 p.m. Sunday night.
The suspect attempted to get the man to perform sexual acts with him in his camper.
When the man refused police say the suspect got angry and stabbed the 28-year-old victim in the chest. That’s when the suspect barricaded himself inside his truck.
The police did use bean bag shotguns and pepper balls to force the suspect out.
He was taken into custody and then to Scripps Mercy Hospital for a self-inflicted stab wound.
