Mountain Lion Flies the Coop

A North County man had a foul run-in with a cougar, according to the state fish & game officials.

The agency received a call Tuesday that a mountain had fallen through the roof of a chicken coop in Fallbrook and was trapped inside. When agents arrived, they determined the big cat did not pose a threat to life or property, so they came up with a plan to free the animal without harming it.

Eventually, a fish & game warden ended up opening up the coop's gate and quickly moved to safety. The animal then simply walked out and left the property.
