Motorcyclist Injured in Crash Near San Diego State University

According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the motorcyclist was traveling at speeds up to 90 mph at the time of the crash.

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash on Wednesday night near San Diego State University (SDSU).

The incident occurred at approximately 10:10 p.m. on Montezuma Road and Collwood Boulevard in Mid-City.

According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the motorcyclist was traveling at speeds up to 90 mph at the time of the crash.

SDPD officers say the rider slid across the ground and struck a sign post.

He was expected to survive but may lose the use of his legs, police said.

Montezuma Road up to Yerba Santa Drive was shut down while officers  investigated.
