Medics were requested to the 5200 block of Balboa Avenue and Clairemont Drive Friday night after a vehicle and motorcycle collided, authorities said.
The crash happened around 9:40 p.m.
The motorcyclist sustained head injuries but was conscious and breathing, according to authorities.
Police blocked off traffic on Balboa Avenue at Genesee Avenue following the accident.
The driver remained at the scene for questioning. Police said the crash does not appear to be DUI-related.
