National City police found a 16-month-old girl who was abducted from an apartment complex early Monday.
The child’s mother violated a restraining order by taking her child, officials said. The girl was taken from the grandmother's house before they were returned later on the the 200-block of East 24th Street Monday morning.
The mother, Evelyn Rada, is being charged with child abduction. Her boyfriend, who is unidentified at this time, was taken into custody temporarily but was later released and does not face charges, according to police.
Rada remains in custody.
