A 10-year-old boy who went missing from his home on Friday was found in a canyon Saturday morning, according to San Diego police.
The boy, identified as Joseph Sweeney, was reported missing from his home on Bordelon Street at about 8:40 p.m. Friday, according to Officer David Stafford of SDPD. Sweeney may have been heading to the Tierrasanta area, he added.
Sweeney was later located uninjured in a canyon just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police.
It wasn't immediately known how Sweeney ended up in the canyon.
