A man suspected of molesting an 11-year-old child over an extended period of time was arrested in Vista Thursday morning, according to detectives.
Michael Davis, 42, was taken into custody around 6:30 a.m. by Family Protection Unit investigators who served a warrant for his arrest.
Detectives say an in-depth investigation into Davis revealed he had committed multiple lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. The alleged assaults took place over several years.
Davis was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on five child molestation charges, with bail set at $250,000. He’s scheduled to appear in court Friday.
