Mexico Border Fire Burns Near Dulzura

Crews responded to a fire in Mexico near the U.S.-Mexico border and Dulzura Thursday evening, Cal Fire officials confirmed.

Cal Fire said the border fire was burning in the Tecate Creek in Mexico. Initially, fire officials on the U.S. side said the fire was burning 30 acres near the Dulzura area.

Just before 8 p.m., Cal Fire said U.S. crews estimated the fire was now burning 500 acres.

Crews are currently on the scene fighting the flames.
