Marine Pulls Victim From Burning Car in Miramar

A U.S. Marine pulled three people from a burning car after an accident near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Saturday night according to San Diego Fire-Rescue officials.

Two cars crashed on Miramar Road around 10:30 p.m. sending three people to the hospital, one with life threatening injuries.

The Marine was coming out of a 24 Hour Fitness when he saw the car on fire.

β€œHe actually ran over, pulled the victim that was in the vehicle out and assisted the other two victims from the vehicle,” SDFD Battalion Chief David Gerboth explained. β€œLuckily he was here. It definitely could have been much worse if he wasn’t so he did an awesome thing today for sure."

There were three victims: a man in his 20s, another man and a woman both in their 30s.
