The Marine Corps says it is investigating the death of a Marine who was on the ground in the flight line of the hangar area at Miramar Air Station.
Miramar spokesman Lt. Chad Hill says Friday he had no other details regarding the death that occurred Thursday on the base, northeast of San Diego.
The Marine's name and age have not been released.
Hill says officials are trying to determine the cause of death.
