A man has been arrested in Chula Vista on suspicion of murder in the death of his 77-year-old mother. Chula Vista Police say they got a call of a family disturbance on the 500-block of Tamarack Court around 5:45 p.m. Saturday. When police arrived, several family members were outside of the home and the victim's son was identified as the suspect in the murder.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Chula Vista Police Department for questioning. According to police, the victim was found by her daughter, who had come to the house to pick her up. When police arrived, they said the victim's son was acting strange. Police say they have been to the address because of the man on previous occasions.
According to the Union Tribune, the victim was identified as Francisca Ramos. Her son, George Ramos, 42 has been arrested. Investigators say George Ramos has a history of violence and was involved in an elder abuse case in 2005, according to the newspaper.
