A man in a wheelchair was hit by the driver of a pickup truck Monday evening, police said.
The victim was in the 1200 block of Persimmon Ave. in the unincorporated area of El Cajon at about 8:30 p.m. when the truck struck him, according to California Highway Patrol officials.
He was transported to the hospital. The extent of his injuries are not known at this time.
CHP is investigating the crash.
