A 61-year-old man was stabbed in the side while walking on a bridge in the 2800 block of Kettner Boulevard near Palm Street Saturday evening.
The man said the suspect, who was unknown to the victim, approached him and without saying anything, attacked him on his left side around 8 p.m.
Police found and arrested 37-year-old Arturo Cortez several blocks away.
No other information was immediately available.
