San Diego police are searching for a suspect who they said stabbed a man during a fight near the Gaslamp Quarter early Sunday morning.
The fight occurred in the 900 block of 5th Avenue around 2:15 a.m., said Sgt. Todd Sluss of SDPD.
The victim was later transported to an area hospital where he was expected to survive his injuries.
Police describe the suspect as an African American male in his late 30’s with a ponytail. He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident, according to Sluss.
