Man Kills Girlfriend's Puppy

Police said the man hit his girlfriend and killed her four-month-old puppy in Ocean Beach

A case of alleged domestic violence also turned into a case of animal cruelty Friday evening in the Ocean Beach area.

Police said a 32-year-old man named Aubry Glascock allegedly slapped his girlfriend several times in the face around 6:42 p.m., at Voltaire Street and West Point Boulevard.

After hitting her, he picked up her four-month-old puppy and threw it against the side of an RV, according to police.

The puppy died at the scene.

Authorities said several witnesses saw the incident and tackled Glascock, holding him down until police arrived.

When Officer Ailes Clinton got to the scene, he arrested Glascock for spouse abuse and cruelty to animals.

Glascock was booked into San Diego Central Jail on the two felony charges. His bail was set at $25,000.
