A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Encinitas on Sunday evening, according to authorities.
Around 11:30 p.m. sheriff's deputies said they found a man in his 40s laying on the intersection of Windsor Road and Villa Cardiff Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies later learned that the man had be struck by a vehicle.. and that the suspects fled the scene.
Sheriff's Department is asking anyone for more information on a fatal hit and run accident and anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
