A man was found dead Sunday night on the trolley tracks, according to police.
A trolley crew found the apparently decapitated body Sunday night between the city's Old Town Transit Center and the Morena station. Investigators believe the man was hit by an earlier trolley at about 8:30 p.m.
The victim's identity could not immediately be determined; the man appeared to be homeless, said San Diego Police Lt. Dan Christman.
The tracks were closed in both directions while officers investigated.
