Man Convicted of Raping Daughters Sentenced to 475 Years

A man convicted of raping and torturing his two daughters over several years was sentenced Monday 475 years-to-life in prison, according to the District Attorney’s office.

Corazon Paulino Flores, 70, was convicted in June of forcibly raping, torturing and threatening to kill his two step-daughters.

The girls came forward years after the abuse, fearing for their lives through Kindergarten and high school, according to the District Attorney’s office.

“The victims in this case suffered unspeakable abuse and demonstrated extraordinary bravery for coming forward to report the abuse they suffered for years at the hands of their father,” said District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis. “Thanks to their courage, this predator will spend the rest of his life behind bars.”

Paulino was convicted of 27 felony counts of forcible rape and child molestation. Prosecutors said he would take the two girls to remote locations, rape them and then threaten them with knives and guns.

The victims were present and made statements during the sentencing Monday in the San Diego Superior Court.

It is NBC 7 San Diego’s policy not to report the names of victims of sexual abuse.
