Man Arrested in Sexual Assault

A San Diego woman was followed into her apartment, sexually assaulted and then robbed according to police. Officers arrested a man accused of kidnapping, robbery, burglary and sexual assault just a few hours after the attack.

The woman, 26, lives in an apartment on Vandever Avenue. When she got home around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man with a gun forced his way into the apartment.

The man assaulted the woman and then moved her into a nearby alley before taking off on foot.

Around 1 a.m. transit police stopped a man at the Euclid Avenue station. They arrested Londrea Raymond, 19, saying that Raymond had evidence linking him to the attack on Vandever Avenue.

According to one published report, the suspect had the victim’s laptop, computer and cell phone.
