Magnitude-3.8 Earthquake Shakes Marina Del Rey Area

The earthquake was reported at at 3:18 a.m.

Residents in the Marina Del Rey reported shaking early Wednesday after a magnitude-3.8 earthquake.

The quake was centered about one mile southeast of Marina Del Rey. The quake had a depth of 5.6 miles, according to the USGS.

The Los Angeles Fire Department conducted damage surveys after the jolt. They examined residential buildings, schools, places where people  gather, power lines and critical infrastructure.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

People in the area reported shaking in Lawdale, Pico Rivera, the Mid-Wilshire area, Torrance, South LA, Hermosa Beach and North Hollywood.
