MTS Redirects Trolley Away From 2-Alarm Fire in Logan Heights

A two-alarm fire broke out at an auto parts warehouse in Logan Heights Saturday afternoon, according to San Diego fire officials.

The fire started in an alley way around 5:21 p.m. and spread to the warehouse called A&B Truck Used Parts, in the 2800 block of Commercial Street near 28th.

The owner said he was doing paperwork in his office when he became aware there was a problem.

"The battalion chief pulled up first, and then all the engines ... smoke was pouring out of the front of the warehouse," he told NBC 7.

Eight engines, four trucks controlled the fire from the outside of the building. San Diego Fire Rescue helicopter also responded to assist crews on the ground.

MTS redirected the trolley away from the fire while crews contained the flames.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
