Tuesday’s MEGA Millions only matched five out of six numbers, bringing the jackpot up to $52 million.

The ticket sold in Lemon Grove did not match all numbers plus the MEGA Millions number, but still won $587,468.

The MEGA million jackpot is now up to $52 million. The cash value is an estimated $40.5 million.

Of course, the unclaimed jackpot is mere pocket change compared to the $640 million MEGA Millions jackpot from March. Two winners bought their tickets at San Diego stores.

The winner has 180 days from the date of the draw to claim the prize. Any unclaimed money goes to local schools.

Since 1985, lottery players have contributed $24 billion to education, according to the company.

Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $1.
