Local Student Allegedly Made Facebook Threats

A student from La Jolla High School allegedly made comments of a “threatening nature” on his Facebook page, according to students on campus.

The student was arrested by the County Probation Department off-campus on Thursday night for an unrelated probation violation, according to the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD).

The school and the probation department discovered the Facebook posts. They talked to the student’s parents about those postings being inappropriate, according to school officials.

The school is not taking any extra security measures at this time and would not release details about the content of those Facebook posts.
